To promote equine goodwill and safety within the community of Collin County and provide assistance in search and rescue or other special circumstances when requested by Municipalities, First Responders or Law Enforcement.
Goals
Provide mounted and ground support to assist first responders, law enforcement, and/or municipalities upon request. Examples: search and rescue in remote areas or events that might require the relocation of large animals.
Promote charitable and public service activities within the Collin County Community while promoting health and safety among equine enthusiasts.
Objectives
Train and equip members to be available for search and rescue, or other assistance as deemed necessary by first responders, law enforcement, or municipalities.
Prepare and train to work with equine/large animal owners and emergency management services for evacuation purposes. Education & Events
Provide equine related clinics and associated activities to promote the health and safety of horse and rider during search and rescue, large animal evacuations or in other situations the organizations may be called upon to assist.
Educate and train the public and equestrians on trail safety
